Feeding one of Brazil’s largest poultry operations
As one of Brazil’s major poultry producers, LAR Cooperativa Agroindustrial increased its poultry operation to more than one million birds per day. The Bom Jesus Complex in Medianeira forms part of LAR’s continued investment in efficient, large-scale poultry production, next to the 4 other feed mills in Paraná state they already equipped with Van Aarsen equipment.
On a 200.000 m² site two feed industries plus a grain storage unit have been build for both 45 tph breeder feed as well as 40 tph broiler feed.

To be able to meet LAR’s expansion plans the two production lines serve distinctly their different poultry applications. The breeder feed line is designed for 45 tph through micro-dosing, grinding and mixing, while the 40 tph broiler line extends the process through pelleting, resulting in high performing feed diets in meal as well as pelleted form.
By using the Van Aarsen equipment LAR could follow their objectives according to dosing accuracies, particle size grinding, homogeneity in mixing and optimal pelleting in a highly efficient and reliable process.
